Too Tired to Post

Posted by Ted Hopton on February 14, 2008

I’m headed to bed. I have so much I want to write about here, but I lack the energy after a very long day and another one ahead.

I want to tell you all about the great call center “insight” tour I went on to a Royal Carribean call center. I want to describe the enthusiastic feedback from participants in the unique team-building-through-baking workshop led by King Arthur Flour. I have dozens of “nuggets” of learning gathered from all the different conference sessions today. And I want to rave about the keynote speaker, Kare Anderson, who kicked off the conference this morning, as well as link to her blog. I also have many stories about interesting people I have met here and what they are doing back home in their call centers. And I want to thank all the great folks who have pitched in at the last minute to help out when far more than usual logistical challenges arose — they have kept everything running smoothly.

But all of that will have to wait. Morpheus beckons. I’m making notes on paper and will blog about all of this, and more, when I get the chance.

And by the way, Happy Valentine’s Day! I still don’t understand who in our company thought it made sense to hold a conference over Valentine’s Day (or over Mother’s Day in the past, or over Jewish holidays). What were they thinking???

It was a joy to meet you at ICMI – and have a whirlwind of exchanged ideas. What a goldmine your blog is. I’m going to read more this weekend. – Kare
