How Do You Find Good Blogs To Read?
Posted by Ted Hopton on January 26, 2008
My mother (currently my most loyal reader) asked me how to find good blogs to read. It’s a good question. I have to admit, I have been aware of blogs for a very long time, have dabbled with writing them for years, but I have long preferred reading more mainstream online media to reading blogs. So, I don’t have much experience searching for blogs.
However, I have recently begun seeking out blogs that are relevant to my own. I am curious what other people are thinking, and reading their blogs is a good way to find out. So, I am slowly working my way through reading a variety of blogs, checking each one out and frequently following links from those to others, where I repeat the process.
Not a very fast or efficient way to find blogs — so I was delighted to find a list of “Outstanding Blogs” posted by a blogger, Troy Worman. Odd, though, that when I tried to get back to his original post, the link led me to a page saying the account was not active. Here’s a link to another blog, processGeek, recently started by him, however. So, I copied the version of the list I found here, on Carpe Factum’s blog:
