YouTube for Business & Call Center Videos

Posted by Ted Hopton on January 9, 2008

OK, I have just been converted. I admit I have long been a snob, thinking YouTube was beneath me, that it was mostly for people who had nothing better to do with their time than watch mints explode in soda bottles or animals ride skateboards, etc.

But the power of YouTube to make videos quickly and widely accessible, with nearly no technical expertise required, is amazing. And it should be something everyone in business takes into consideration. Using video for all kinds of purposes in your business is simpler, faster and — let’s admit it — cooler than I had any idea it could be.

If you haven’t discovered the power of YouTube for your business, take a look and check out features like custom players you can embed in a web page or blog or wiki. Check out the playlists and channels, too, and think how you could use them. There’s more, too, I am sure (I’m only a recent convert, not an expert).

Meanwhile, check out this custom video player with call center videos!

Hillary Crying, Calculating?

Posted by Ted Hopton on January 9, 2008

I can’t decide whether Hillary Clinton is the right choice or not. She’s complex and seems calculating. And now comes the whole “tears” thing — was that calculated too? Or was it a genuine moment that shows her softer side?

In trying to sort out what I think, I found Maureen Dowd’s column, “Can Hillary Cry Her Way Back to the White House?” to be rather insightful. I’m still not sure where I stand on it, or her. But I must say that the primary race is shaping up to be interesting, and that’s a nice surprise.
