I may be an English major, but I am still fascinated in many ways by science. I wonder if my love of literature simply overwhelmed what could have been a budding scientific education and career path.
Anyway, this morning’s NYT article, Tiny Specks of Misery, Both Vile and Useful, about viruses, is a good example of the kind of learning I find interesting. The complexity of the human body, the amazing maelstrom of chaos and yet somehow synchronized and highly-effective order that is our body chemistry . . . just astounds me and provokes my curiosity.
